Adding a Server-Side Event to a DataWindow

DataWindow server-side events are implemented in Java and must have a defined event handler interface implemented.

  1. In the WorkSpace Navigator, select the .jsp file for the Web page on which you want to create a server-side event.
  2. In the Web Page editor, right-click the DataWindow you want to use and select Add Listener > <name>Listener . The following listeners are available: PrintListener, RetrieveListener, SqlPreviewListener, UpdateListener, and DataWindowOnLoadListener.
  3. Click Browse to select the type.
  4. Enter the first letter of the type you want to use in the Select a type field. A list of available types beginning with the letter you enterd appears in the Matching types list.
  5. Select the type that you want to use and click OK.
  6. Click OK.
