JSF DataWindow Database Driver Support

JSF DataWindow attributes that support connecting to a database are connectString, jndiDataSource, and onLoadHandler.

Use jndiDataSource with a ConnectionCache defined in EAServer or Tomcat. In JSF DataWindows, only JDBC ConnectionCache is supported. ODBC/Native database driver caches are not supported.

Use these formats.

ODBC – ODBC/username/password/DSNName
ASE Native – SYBNATIVE/username/password/dbname/servername

Note:
For native drivers from other vendors, such as Oracle, use onLoadHandler.
JDBC – username/password/Driver/URL
