Developing a Sybase Services Package Profile

The Sybase services package profile is used to create the physical services package.

Prerequisites 
Complete the following prerequisite:
  1. Determine your packaging strategy.
  2. Develop one or more services within a project.
  3. Create connection profiles for services.
  4. Set preferences, including driver definitions, for services requiring specific preferences.

After developing one or more services, you move to the Package phase. If you are creating a services package, you must develop a Sybase services package profile.

  1. Creating a Sybase Services Package Profile
    Create a Sybase services package profile as part of developing a services package profile.
  2. Editing a Sybase Services Package Profile
    Use the Sybase Service Package Profile editor to define and edit the services included in the package, configure endpoint, access, and runtime package profile properties.
  3. Updating Services Package Profile Contents
    Update the services to be included for both a Sybase services package profile and the EAServer services package profile from the Contents page of the respective editor.
  4. Modifying a Services Package Profile Endpoint
    Modify endpoint bindings for both the Sybase Services Package Profiles and EAServer Services Package Profiles from the Endpoint Configuration page.
  5. Binding a Services Package Profile Endpoint
    Every service in a services package profile must be bound to an endpoint.
  6. Configuring Properties for a Services Package Profile Endpoint Binding
    Every service in a services package profile must be bound to an endpoint.
  7. Defining Access Configuration for a Sybase Services Package Profile
    Select the services to be made public and the transport protocols used to access those services from the Access Configuration tab of the Sybase Services Package Profile editor.
