You can run a user-defined function from Enterprise Explorer without
invoking a launch configuration.
Running a user-defined function allows you to run and obtain SQL results
from the database.
Prerequisites Before you can run a user-defined function, save or deploy it to a database.
- Expand the
User Defined Functions folder, right-click the
user-defined function, and choose
Run.
Note: If the user-defined function includes parameters, the Configure Parameters dialog appears.
You can alter parameter values from here.
- Click
OK to run the function.
The SQL Results view displays the status of the run
instance, the execution details, and returns result sets and server messages,
if any.
