Use the Preferences dialog to define the global parameters for the Web robots that are used in the Search server.

Enter the default number of results for Sybase Search to return. |
User Agent |
Enter the user agent name that corresponds to the HTTP user agent request header. This value is sent with all HTTP requests. For example, "sybot". |

Enter a value (in seconds) for the Web robot to wait between successful HTTP requests. |
Download Pages |
Enter the maximum number of pages for the Web robot to download before it auto-terminates and saves the content it has searched so far. |
Error |
Enter the amount of time (in seconds) for the Web robot to wait between unsuccessful HTTP requests. |
Duration |
Enter the maximum length of time for the Web robot to spend downloading before it auto-terminates and saves the content it has searched so far. Since this amount of time may extend into days, you must specify it in an ISO 8601 format. For example, "PT24H." |
Connect |
Enter the length of time (in seconds) for the Web robot to wait to connect to the target Web server. |
Consecutive Fails |
Enter the maximum number of consecutive failures the Web robot is allowed before it auto-terminates and saves the content it has searched so far. |
Read |
Enter the amount of time (in seconds) for the Web robot to wait on a connection to receive a response. |
Page Tries |
Enter the maximum number of times for the Web robot to attempt to download any Web page. Setting Page Tries to a higher value enables Web robots to overcome temporary network or Web server failures. |
Run Indexing on Finish |
Proceed with indexing immediately after finishing the document store wizard. |
Restore Defaults |
Restore the default global parameters. |
Use Search Web Applications |
Enable menu options to view Sybase Search Web application. |
Web UI URL |
Displays the default Sybase Search Web administration user interface URL for the current connection. ${SERVER_ADDR} gets substituted with details from the remote connection. Note: You can change the Web UI address to an earlier version of Sybase Search.

WSDL URL |
Displays the Sybase Search server WSDL URL. ${SERVER_ADDR}:${PORT_ADDR} is substituted with details from the remote connection. |
