Developing a Search Service

Develop a Search Web service to use in a business process.

Use the Sybase Search server to help build a WorkSpace Web project, which when deployed exposes a SOAP interface onto the Sybase Search server.

  1. Starting and Stopping a Sybase Search Server
    To work with Sybase Search in WorkSpace, first start the Sybase Search server.
  2. Setting Search Server Preferences
    Use the Preferences dialog to define the global parameters for the Web robots that are used in the Search server.
  3. Creating a Search Server Connection Profile
    Create a new Search server connection profile to supply the runtime connection information of a Search server component.
  4. Creating a Search Service
    Create a Search service from WSDL that can be deployed and published in WorkSpace.
