Sybase Search Service

Create Sybase Search service as a Java service and add customizable Java code.

Sybase Search technology offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for searching structured and unstructured information, regardless of the format and the language in which the content is written.

You can create a Sybase Search service as a Java service in Workspace that allows to encapsulate your business logic and data into reusable service units. You can then deploy this Sybase Search service independently or as a part of a composite business process service.

The Sybase Search service connects to the Sybase Search server and queries through the volumes of structured and unstructured information stored in your organization’s enterprise network drives, databases, intranets, and the Internet. This Sybase Search service can be run as a SOA component exposed over SOAP typically in a Workspace Business Process or generally as a web service.

For example, a human resource (HR) system in an enterprise may need to access latest resumes residing in its database and file management systems. This can be implemented as a Search service and made available to the HR system.
