Developing a Deployment Profile

A deployment profile defines the deployment for one or more packages to target servers. Deployment profiles are saved so you can re-execute the package or execute the package with modifications.

1. Creating a Deployment Profile
   Although you can deploy a package at any time after you have create a package profile, creating a deployment profile allows you to store a deployment scenario that can be executed multiple times, for example, to multiple servers.
2. Editing a Deployment Profile
   Edit the configuration and target servers, package description, and servers targeted for the deployment profile.
3. Creating a Package in the Deployment Profile
   A package that you create while you are creating the deployment profile is the same as a package created when creating a services package profile.
4. Deploying a Services Package
   Create the packages for each target server using the custom configuration specified when creating the deployment profile and deploy the package to the corresponding target servers.
5. Managing a Deployed Services Package
   After you deploy a services package, you can pause and resume service package operations, save the service to a WSDL file, publish the service to the UDDI Registry, test the service, or wrap the service in a SOAP service using the Enterprise Explorer.
