Problem: This error displays while running an installation script for a Sybase Unwired Platform release that does not use an installer, for example: Error deleting C:\Sybase\UnwiredPlatform\Servers\UnwiredServer\APIdocs skipping unwired server update.
Explanation: This message may indicate that the installation script cannot run because Sybase Unwired Platform processes are still running. This may happen when multiple EBFs are applied to update Sybase Unwired Platform.
Solution: All processes should be stopped, using the Stop Sybase Unwired Services icon, before running the installation script. If you already did stop the processes through the icon, one of the processes may still be running or in the process of closing down.
Try any of the following:
- If you installed one Sybase Unwired Platform installation script to upgrade, then ran a second installation script to upgrade to a later version, processes may still be running. Try waiting about ten minutes between installing the first and second installation scripts, to give all processes a chance to stop.
- Click the Stop Sybase Unwired Services icon again.
- Check Windows Service Manager for any Sybase Unwired Platform-related processes still running, or starting up. If you find any, stop them through Services.
- Use Microsoft Services to check the status of Sybase Unified Agent. If Sybase Unified Agent was not shut down, the upgrade could not complete in a timely manner. You may need to stop Sybase Unified Agent, then retry the upgrade.
