Troubleshooting Host Name Problems

Problem: After installation, you determine that you need to change the host name (machine name); for example, the host name is too long, or includes reserved characters.

Solution: Change the Unwired Server host name using procedures for a single server node, or a node in a cluster. After you change the host name, you must reconfigure Unwired Server to recognize the host name.

After changing the host name, you may encounter temporary connection problems to Unwired Server. This is because the DNS servers may not resolve the IP difference until the connections are refreshed.
