Web service parameter management

This section describes the procedures used to manage the parameters for a given method or operation of a Web service.

Viewing or modifying parameters

Select the Web service collection and Web service you want to view or modify.
Highlight the Operations folder.
Highlight the operation of interest.
Click the Parameters folder.
Highlight the parameter of interest.
Select the General tab to view the parameter properties. See Table 5-5 for a description of the parameter properties.

**Table 5-5: Web service parameter properties**
Property	Description
Name	Name of the parameter.
Type	The type of parameter. The type cannot be edited.
Mode	The mode of the parameter, “in”, “out”, or “inout”.
Order	The order of the parameters. If there is only one parameter, the order is “0”.
