Defining the secondary node

From the GUI

Use the same steps used to define the primary nodes, but supply information specific to the secondary node.

  1. Select Tasks from the menu bar.

  2. Select Nodes from the pull-down menu, complete the following fields:

  3. Select Add and this information is displayed in the window.

    (Optional) An integer in the range 1 – 32767 that is unique among the nodes in the pool. If you do not specify a number, FailSafe calculates a node ID

    Partition ID

    (Optional) An integer between 1 – 32767 that is unique among the nodes in the pool. If you do not specify a number, FailSafe calculates partition ID.

    Set Reset Parameters

    Check

    A special hardware port on a node that provides a way to reset the node remote.

  5. Click Next.

  7. Click OK

From the command line

From the command line, enter the following:

cluster_mgr –f sec_node_def
