Starting EAServer

Start EAServer Developer Edition server from Sybase WorkSpace, the EAServer Web Console, or with a command line script.

If you have started Sevice Container, you do not need to start EAServer seperately. Because Service Container runs on EAServer by default, the EAServer starts before Service Container starts.

Choose from:
Option Description
Using the Windows Start menu Select Start > Programs > Sybase > Sybase WorkSpace > EAServer version > Start EAServer .
Using External Tools If you installed Sybase WorkSpace and EAServer on the same machine, start the application server using the External Tools feature in the main menu bar.

Select Run > External Tools > Start EAServer version # Server.

Using the command line On Windows, run:

<installation directory>\DevRuntimes\EAServer\bin\start-server.bat

On UNIX, run:

<installation directory>/DevRuntimes/EAServer/bin/start-server.sh

Using the EAServer Web Console See the EAServer System Administration Guide in the EAServer collection for more information.
