Grid Domain Controllers

Use the Enterprise Explorer to manage grid domain controllers from a central location.

A grid domain controller (GDC) is part of a Data Federation system. At minimum, a basic Data Federation domain can contain one or more grid servers, with at least one serving as the GDC.

However, if you have configured your Data Federation domain for failover, two GDCs display in the Enterprise Explorer: a primary and a secondary. You can administer both from this central location.

For more information, see the Data Federation documentation, part of the DI Suite documentation set, which is available on the Sybase Product Manuals Web site at http://sybooks.sybase.com.
