Managing a Deployed Services Package

After you deploy a services package, you can pause and resume service package operations, save the service to a WSDL file, publish the service to the UDDI Registry, test the service, or wrap the service in a SOAP service using the Enterprise Explorer.

Note: You can also deploy a service package directly from the WorkSpace Navigator.
  1. Open the Enterprise Explorer.
  2. Expand Service Container and the Connection Profile (server name).
  3. Expand Packages to display all the deployed service packages.
Note: You can right-click the package and select Refresh to renew the tree view display at any time.
  4. Right-click the package that you want to manage and select Install to deploy the package to the server.
  5. After the package is deployed, right-click the package (or service) and select any of the following:
    Option Description
Uninstall Removes the deployed package from the server.
Save WSDL Saves the service as a WSDL file.
Publish to UDDI Makes the service public in a UDDI registry.
Test Service Verifies that the service is viable in a production environment.
Create Service Wraps the service in a SOAP service.
View Filtered Log Opens the Log Navigator allowing you to view package and service releated information.
Pause Temporarily stops the reception of requests and events from consumers.
Resume Restarts the reception of requests and events from consumers.
