Editing a Schedule

Rename a schedule, compress inactive logs, unify a document store index stripes, or configure the time interval for the Web robot to re-crawl the Web sites for the selected schedule.

  1. In the Enterprise Explorer, expand Sybase Search Servers > (Sybase Search Connection Profile) > Sybase Search Server > Schedules.
  2. Right-click the schedule you want to edit, and select Edit.
  3. Edit any of the fields that appear in the Edit Schedules wizard:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Enter a name for the schedule task.

    Document Store Runner

    Run a full update on the document store at the configured interval.

    Index Unifier Runner

    Unify the document store index stripes into a single stripe.

    Stores

    Select the document store you want to run at scheduled time intervals.

    Container

    Select a container ID for which you want to schedule the log janitor.

    Keep Daily Logs For

    Select the amount of time you want the system to keep daily logs.

    Compress Non-active Logs

    Specify whether you want Sybase Search to compress non-active logs.

    Schedule

    Configure the time interval for the selected document store or Web robot.

    Every

    Specify when the task runs by entering a number and selecting one of:
    • Minute(s)
    • Hour(s)
    • Day(s)
    • Week(s)
    • Month(s)

    On The

    Select the day of the week you want the task to run.

    At

    Select the time of the day you want the task to run.

  4. Click Finish to save the changes.

    Sybase Search updates the schedule properties.
