Creating a Web Robot Runner Task

Configure the time interval for the Web robot to re-crawl the Web sites specified, at scheduled time intervals.

The Web robot runner uses the Web robot force refresh option.

  1. In the Enterprise Explorer, expand Sybase Search Servers > (Sybase Search Connection Profile) > Sybase Search Server > Schedules.
  2. Right-click Schedules and select New Web Robot.
  3. Enter appropriate values for the fields that appear in the New Web Robot Runner wizard:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Enter a name for the schedule task.

    Stores

    Select the passive document store you want to run at scheduled time intervals.

    Schedule

    Configure the time interval for the selected Web robot.

    Every

    Specify when the task runs by entering a number and selecting one of:
    • Minute(s)
    • Hour(s)
    • Day(s)
    • Week(s)
    • Month(s)

    At

    Select the time of the day you want the task to run.

  4. Click Finish to add and run the new task at its scheduled interval.
