Setting Up JDBC Database Drivers for Runtime

If you are using a non-Sybase database, you must install the appropriate third-party JDBC drivers for runtime.

Sybase WorkSpace supports JDBC -accessible data sources. To use a non-Sybase database, complete the following driver setup for runtime.

  1. Stop Service Container.

Stopping the Service Container server stops all three servers: Service Container, EAServer, and then Adaptive Server Anywhere.

  2. Add the third-party database JDBC driver JAR file to <installation directory>\EAServer\lib\ext .
  3. Restart Service Container.
