Driver Administration

Integrating with external databases and messaging requires access to third-party provider driver classes, so if a server bound to an external resource is deployed, the driver classes are available at runtime.

Driver installation is not required when using either the runtime application server native messaging provider, or a database in which one or more connection caches are already defined in the runtime application server.

• Setting Up JDBC Database Drivers for Runtime
  If you are using a non-Sybase database, you must install the appropriate third-party JDBC drivers for runtime.
• Setting Up JMS Drivers for Runtime
  Set up JMS driver classes for inbound and outbound messaging runtime transports that are dependent on an external JMS database or messaging provider.
