User-Defined Datatypes

Construct your own datatypes based on the system datatypes for your data server.

User-defined datatypes are built from the system datatypes and can be used to define columns, parameters, and variables. Objects that are created from a user-defined datatype inherit rules, defaults, and properties from the user-defined datatype as well as from the system datatypes on which the user-defined datatype is based.
