Run Overview

Run SQL queries and procedural routine objects from the Database Development perspective.

There are several ways to run a SQL file or routine procedural object in the Database Development perspective. Once you have run a routine procedural object, you can examine the SQL Results view to review execution status and any result sets returned from the database. You can remove, save, or export these results. You can also execute only selected portions of SQL code using the Execute Selected Text command. You can select individual queries or a group of SQL commands within the text and execute only that portion of the SQL code using the Execute Selected Text command. You can also view an execution plan for a SQL statement to fine-tune performance.
