An execution plan, or query plan, is the ordered set of steps required to execute a query or object, including the access methods chosen for each table.
Once you obtain the Adaptive Server Enterprise or Sybase IQ execution plan, it displays in the Execution Plan view, where you can save it to a file, load a different plan from a file, or change plan type. Use the Switch Plan Type menu to select a different plan type.
