Editing a Database Connection

Modify the details of a database connection in a Data Assurance (DA) server.

  1. In the Perspective Resources view, select a DA server.
  2. Select Resource > Administration Console.
  3. Expand Data Assurance Server, then select Database Connections.
  4. Select a database connection, then either:
    • Select Resource > Properties, or,
    • Click the button that appears when you select a database connection, then select Properties.
  5. Modify the database connection information as required, then click Apply.

    A brief description to help you identify the database connection.

    Agent

    (Required) The DA agent to use in connecting to the database. It can be a local agent that comes with the DA server installation, a remote agent that is defined in the Data Assurance Agent Connections, or a new remote agent that has yet to be defined.

    Database

    (Required) Name of the database to connect to.

    Host

    (Required) Name of the server where the database is residing.

    Port

    (Required) Port number of the database.

    Username

    (Required) database username.

    Password

    Database password.

    Properties

    The properties for JBDC connection.

  6. (Optional) Click Test to verify if the modified database connection information is correct.
  7. Click OK.
