Creating a Compareset

Create a compareset, which includes the database connection profile, and the source and target tables to be compared.

Prerequisites
Verify that you have created an agent connection.
Task
  1. In the Perspective Resources view, select a Data Assurance server.
  2. Select Resource > Administration Console.
  3. Expand Data Assurance Server, then select Data Assurance Comparesets.
  4. Either:
    • Select Folder > Create Compareset, or,
    • Click the button that appears when you select Data Assurance Comparesets, then click Create Compareset.
  5. Specify the compareset basic information, and click Next or Source Table.
    Field Description
    Data Assurance server (Required) Name of the DA server from the drop-down list.
    Name

    (Required) Name of the compareset.

    Description

    A brief description to help you identify the compareset.

  6. Select from existing database connections or click New to create a new one.
  7. Select a schema and a database table.
  8. Select the columns to compare.
  9. (Optional) Specify contraints to control the comparison job.
  10. Click Next or Target Table(s).
  11. Repeat the same steps performed for the source table.
  12. (Optional) Click Add Target to define a new target table to compare with the source table.
    Note: You can compare a source table to one or more target table.
  13. Click Finish.
