Creating a Row Comparison Job

Set up a row comparison job.

Prerequisites
Verify that you have created a compareset.
Task
  1. In the Perspective Resources view, select a Data Assurance server.
  2. Select Resource > Administration Console.
  3. Expand Data Assurance Server, then select Data Assurance Jobs.
  4. Either:
    • Select Folder > Create Job, or,
    • Click the button that appears when you select Database Assurance Jobs, then select Create Job.
  5. Specify the row comparison job basic information:
    Field Description
    Data Assurance server (Required) Name of the DA server from the drop-down list.
    Name

    (Required) Name of the row comparison job.

    Active

    Indicates that the row job can be run if selected.

    Description

    A brief description to help you identify the row comparison job.

  6. Click Next or Option.
  7. Enter the value for the maximum concurrent jobs.
    This is the maximum number of jobs you want to run at the same time.
  8. Click Next or Comparison.
  9. Specify the general information for the current comparison you are setting up.
    Field Description
    Name

    (Required) Name of the comparison in a row comparison job.

    Active Indicates that the comparison job can be run if selected.
    Description

    A brief description to help you identify the comparison.

    Priority

    Priority level for the comparison.

    Compareset

    Name of the predefined compareset, which has the source and target tables to compare.

    Note: You can create more than one comparison to a row comparison job, but doing so may result in slow performance. To do this, click Add Comparison.
  10. (Optional) In the Comparison Options tab, modify or accept the default value for the comparison options.
  11. (Optional) In the Column Options tab, modify or accept the default values on the column options for each column from the compareset.
  12. (Optional) Click Next or Schedule.
  13. (Optional) Click With Schedule (s) to set the schedule for this row comparison job. Or you can set the schedule later or run it manually.
  14. Click Finish.
