Upgrade tasks include the stopping and restarting of the database using the new
SAP Sybase IQ 16.0 server, as well as altering the database
structure.
The Database Upgrade wizard stops the 15.3 or 15.4 database and restarts it using
SAP Sybase IQ 16.0. Before you can begin resolving any upgrade
task errors, you must restart the database using SAP Sybase IQ
15.x.
- Note the reason for the wizard termination.
- Close the Database Upgrade wizard. You need not exit SCC.
- Stop the coordinator node.
- (Optional) Depending on the severity of the issue, consider
restoring the coordinator from backup. Start the restored database using SAP Sybase IQ 15.3 or 15.4.
- Restart the coordinator using SAP Sybase IQ 15.3 or 15.4.
Specify an explicit path to the coordinator's database file.
- Start Interactive SQL, connect to the coordinator, and resolve the issue.
- Log out of the coordinator, but leave it running.
- In SAP Control Center, restart the Database Upgrade
wizard.
