Security Providers for Unwired Platform

Security providers perform authentication, authorization, attribution, auditing and role mapping services for an Unwired Platform enabled mobility environment. These services are performed when a user performs a login with the provided mechanism.

In a production environment, two components require that providers be set up for each: Unwired Server (for device application logins) and Sybase Control Center (for administration logins).

Note: In a development environment, OpenDS LDAP is configured as the authentication provider, both for Sybase Control Center access and device applications.
