Integrating systems of two companies

Profile

A Paris retail company has just acquired another company in New York. It needs to integrate its Oracle data with the DB2 UDB for UNIX data of the acquired company as quickly as possible to share information such as customer profiles and orders. To capture data changes and replicate them to other systems where they can be incorporated without having to re-code existing applications, the company uses components in ECDA plus components in Sybase Replication Server Options and Sybase Replication Server, purchased separately.

Sybase components

To set up bidirectional, enterprise-wide replication, the retail company uses the following components of ECDA:
