Setup

Each component in Sybase WorkSpace requires setup.

Each of the following describe required and optional procedures that should be reviewed before beginning work.

As part of setup, you may also need to complete configuration for any servers with which you need to connect for development work.

You can find additional detail about specific tasks for the component you are using for development under the Set up category of the component documentation.

• Connection Profiles
  A connection profile enables the runtime connection to endpoints for database and service development.
• Preferences
  Use preferences to configure the appearance of Sybase WorkSpace perspectives and views and to customize its tools.
• Projects
  A project is a collection of resources that together accomplish a task.
• Server Configuration for Sybase WorkSpace
  To have Sybase WorkSpace to connect to one or more servers in your environment, server configuration steps may be required.
