Setting Database Development Preferences

Use the Preferences pages in Database Development to customize development and debugging functionality.

1. Select Window > Preferences from the main menu bar.
2. In the left pane, expand Sybase, Inc, expand Database Development, and choose the appropriate preferences category.

• Connection Level Options
  Set connection-level options to specify default values for launching newly created procedural objects. These preferences also apply when you execute all or selected text from the SQL Editor, SQL File Editor, or SQL Scrapbook.
• Create Database Preferences
  Specify defaults for creating new databases.
• DDL Gen Options
  Set these preferences to specify defaults for generating data definition language (DDL).
• Execution Plan View Options
  Set execution plan view options to specify defaults for viewing query plans.
• Database Development General Preferences
  The general user preferences concern developing, executing, and debugging procedural objects.
• Label Decorations
  Set label decoration preferences to set the display format of objects appearing in the Database Development perspective.
• Database Development Logging
  Set database development logging preferences for logging events in the Sybase WorkSpace environment.
• Database Development Miscellaneous Preferences
  Miscellaneous preferences define behavior for creating Adaptive Server Enterprise nonsharable temporary tables while editing, running, or saving stored procedures or triggers. Behavior for dropping and renaming objects is also specified.
• Model Validation
  Set model validation preferences to validate the SQL model object against a connected database server.
• Multifile Selection Options
  Set these preferences to specify file options for database objects.
• Replication Server Multiple Drop Options
  Set Replication Server multiple dropping preferences to specify the behavior of the artifact dropping wizard.
• Replication Server Multiple Mark Options
  Set Replication Server multiple mark preferences to specify behavior for marking multiple artifacts.
• Schema Object Creation Wizard Configuration
  The Schema Object Creation Wizard Configuration preferences determine the visibility and display order of pages in a schema object creation wizard.
• Schema Object Editor Configuration
  The Schema Object Editor Configuration determine the visibility and display order of pages.
• SQL Debugger
  The SQL debugger preferences specify the behavior of the SQL debugger and Referenced Tables view.
• SQL Editor Preferences
  SQL Editor preferences define the behavior of the SQL File Editor.
• SQL Results View Options
  The SQL Results view options determine the behavior of the SQL Results view.
• Table Data Editor Preferences
  The Table Data Editor preferences determine defaults for displaying data in the Table Data Editor.
• Enterprise Explorer Preferences
  Enterprise Explorer preferences determine the display behavior of Enterprise Explorer.
