Replication Server supports SQL statement replication in Adaptive Server which complements log-based replication and addresses performance degradation caused by batch jobs. Sybase recommends that you use SQL statement replication when:
DML (data manipulation language) statements affect a large number of rows on replicated tables.
You have difficulty altering the underlying application to enable stored procedure replication
Log Transfer Manager does not support SQL statement
replication and SQL Statement replication to non-Adaptive Server
databases is not supported.
