Adaptive Server reserves 0, to indicate a successful return, and negative values from -1 through -99, to indicate the reasons for failure. Numbers 0 and -1 through -14 are currently used in versions 12 and later, as shown in Table 17-1:

If more than one error occurs during execution, the status with the highest absolute value is returned.
