System requirements for Replication Server on Linux platforms

Sample Replication Server for Linux requires a computer with the system configuration described in Table 1-3.

Table 1-3: System requirements for Linux

RAM

A minimum of 512MB RAM.

Disk storage

A minimum of 870MB of available hard disk space:

  • 850MB for the Replication Server and RepAgent software, supporting files, and log files.

  • An additional 20MB for each Replication Server disk partition. The disk partition may be on a different disk than your Sybase software.

More disk space may be required, depending on your replication system application.

Operating system

Intel Linux—Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, SuSE 9.0, 10.0, and United Linux 1.0.
