MAF Simple Controls

The Android SDK provides many simple controls, which you can skin at runtime via the Mobile Application Framework. MAF ships a wrapper class for most native UI controls, which you can use to create easily adaptable UI controls. MAF controls support automatic styling at initialization.

• MAFLogViewer
  The MAFLogViewer component provides a standard UI to show log entries in an application. MAFLogViewer uses SDMLogger or MAFLogger as a source, and shows the entries from these loggers. It can also send the log entries to a predefined recipient. MAFLogViewer is built from skinnable components.
• MAFActionBar
  The MAFActionBar control, which is compatible with Android 2.2 and later, provides the same functionalities as the native android.app.ActionBar, which is available only in Android 4.0 and later. This class implements the main action bar, which has two child action bars, a default and a contextual one. Only one action bar can be visible at any given time, and the one that appears depends on the focused view, however, only one can be visible at one time.
• MAFButton
  The MAFButton control  extends the capabilities of the android.widget.Button native button. MAF adds styling capabilities to the Button UI component, and provides predefined variations, such as small and normal buttons.
• MAFCheckBox
  The MAFCheckBox control extends the capabilities of the android.widget.CheckBox native button. MAF adds styling capabilities to the CheckBox UI component.
• MAFDialog and MAFDialogWithProgressBar
  The MAFDialog control extends the capabilities of the android.app.Dialog native control. MAF adds styling capabilities to the Dialog UI component.
• MAFEditText
  The MAFEditText control extends the capabilities of the android.widget.EditText native button. MAF adds styling capabilities to the EditText UI component.  Use MAFEditText for password input fields or mandatory input fields.
• MAFFilterDialog
  MAFFilterDialog extends the MAFDialog control with filter functionalities, and extends the skinning attributes of MAFDialog with the FilterDialog flavor.
• MAFImageView
  MAFImageView control extends the capabilities of the android.widget. ImageView native button.
• MAFListActivity
  MAFListActivity extends the capabilities of the android.app. ListActivity native button. MAF adds styling capabilities to the ListActivity UI component.
• MAFOptionMenu
  The MAFOptionMenu control extends the capabilities of the optionmenu native Android control. MAF adds styling capabilities to the Optionmenu UI component. MAF supports skinning of tapped/untapped, and enabled/disabled visual states.
• MAFProgressBar
  The MAFProgressBar control extends the capabilities of the android.widget.ProgressBar native component. MAF adds styling capabilities to the ProgressBar UI component, and provides predefined size variations, such as small and normal.
• MAFProgressDialog
  The MAFProgressDialog control extends the capabilities of the android.widget.Button native control. MAF adds styling capabilities for the Button UI component, and provides predefined size variations, such as small and normal. MAF supports skinning of tapped/untapped, and enabled/disabled visual states.
• MAFRadioButton
  MAFRadioButton  extends the capabilities of the android.widget. RadioButton native button. MAF adds styling capabilities to the Button UI component, and provides predefined size variations, such as small and normal. MAF supports skinning of selected/unselected and enabled/disabled visual states.
• MAFSearchBox
  The MAFSearchBox control extends the capabilities of the android.widget.EditText native control. MAF adds styling capabilities to the EditText UI component.  You can also use MAFSearchBox as a password input field, or a mandatory input field.
• MAFSectionHeader
  The MAFSectionHeader control is a section header bar that contains a string label in the center, similar to the default action bar. It can also contain an action, which is aligned to the right of the header. MAF adds styling capabilities to the Header UI component, and provides predefined size variations, such as small and normal. MAF supports skinning of tapped/untapped, and enabled/disabled visual states.
• MAFSpinner
  MAFSpinner extends the capabilities of the android.widget.Spinner native spinner. MAF adds styling capabilities to the Spinner UI component, and provides predefined size variations, such as small and normal. MAF supports skinning of tapped/untapped, and enabled/disabled visual states.
• MAFSpinnerButton
  The MAFSpinnerButton control extends the capabilities of the android.widget.Button native button. MAF adds styling capabilities to the Button UI component and supports skinning of tapped/untapped, and enabled/disabled visual states.
• MAFTextView
  The MAFTextView control extends the capabilities of the android.widget.TextView native control. MAF adds styling capabilities to the TextView UI component, and provides predefined size variations, such as small and normal labels.
