SAP Mobile Server Does Not Start with Errors

Problem: The SAP Mobile Server (also known as MobiLink server) does not start, and a Stream Error message is reported in the server log file.

Stream Error: Internal error: ssl_AddTrustedCerts returned 4157.

Explanation: This indicates that the certificates in the following file have expired: SMP_HOME\UnwiredServer\bin\Repository\Certificate\client_trusted_cert.crt.

Solution:

  1. Remove the expired certificates from the SMP_HOME\UnwiredServer\bin\Repository\Certificate\client_trusted_cert.crt file.
  2. Restart SAP Mobile Server.
  3. After SAP Mobile Server has restarted, remove the expired certificates from the keystore using SAP Control Center.
  4. Restart SAP Mobile Server again.
