To gain access to a remote server, it must be defined on the local
server.
To add a remote server you must register and authenticate the agent for SAP
ASE.
- In the left pane of the Administration Console, expand , then select Remote Servers.
- Click the drop-down arrow and select New.
- On the Introduction screen, select the local server.
- On the Remote Server Name screen, specify the local name for the remote server.
- Enter a network name for the remote server.
- Specify the server class of the remote server.
If Component Integration Services (CIS) is enabled, specify the server
class of the remote server. If CIS is not enabled, accept the default server class:
ASEnterprise.
- (Optional) Click Summary to see the SQL statement and verify your selected options.
