Behavior Changes

Behavior changes were introduced in Sybase IQ 15.4.

• Database Connections
  Database connections enhancements were made in Sybase IQ 15.4.
• ODBC/JDBC Bulk Insert Performance Improvements
  ODBC and JDBC bulk insert performance is now faster.
• SQL Statement Changes
  Sybase IQ 15.4 includes changes to Interactive SQL.
• Stored Procedure Changes
  Sybase IQ 15.4 includes new and changed procedures.
• Database Options Changes
  Sybase IQ 15.4 includes enhancements to database options.
• Programming Interface Changes
  Sybase IQ inherits support for customized ODBC driver names from SQL Anywhere.
• Date and Time Functions
  In this release, the catalog store (row store) creates and casts dates using the ISO 8601 date interchange format. The column store, however, continues to cast and convert dates as before. This means certain queries against the row store might have different results in IQ 15.4.
• Collation Changes
  Sybase IQ 15.4 includes support for additional collations.
