Alert notification options
Only Send Email Notifications For High-Priority Alerts Select this option if you want to receive email notifications only when high-priority alerts are issued. Medium and low priority alerts can still be viewed and resolved in the Alert List widget.
Do Not Send More Than The Given Number of Email Notifications Per Day Selecting this option limits the amount of email notifications sent to each user per day. Set the maximum number of notifications in the Email Notifications field. The default number is 25.
Once the user has received the maximum number of notifications, an email is sent that tells the user how to reset the notification limit. The limit is reset automatically at midnight, at which time the operator once again begins receiving email notifications. The operator can also manually reset the limit by clicking the Reset Email Notification Sent Count button in the Alert Notification window.
Click Send Test Email.
When prompted, enter an email address to send the test email to and click OK.
A test email is sent to the email address specified.
Click Save.
Click Close.
When an alert occurs, the Monitor sends alert emails to operators and administrators who have specified email addresses in their user accounts. These users receive emails for the resources that they are associated with. See Create Monitor users and Associating Monitor users with resources.
