The -gn server option sets the initial database server multiprogramming level.
By default, the network database server automatically adjusts the server multiprogramming level in response to changes in
the server's workload. You can manually override the setting of the multiprogramming after a network database server has started
by using the sa_server_option system procedure and the CurrentMultiprogrammingLevel parameter.
Note
Setting a large integer value can reduce the maximum cache size available on 32-bit platforms.
