In this lesson, you create a database file to hold your database. The database file contains system tables and other system objects that are common to all databases; later you will add tables.
Start Sybase Central.
Choose Tools » SQL Anywhere 11 » Create Database.
Read the information on the Welcome page, and then click Next.
Select Create A Database On This Computer, and then click Next.
In the Save The Main Database File To The Following File field, type c:\temp\mysample.db.
If your temporary directory is somewhere other than c:\temp, specify the appropriate path.
Click Finish.
Click Close.
