Developing JMS applications

You can create a JMS application using either the point-to-point or the publish/subscribe messaging model. Both models support applications that are capable of:

• Creating a JMS InitialContext object

• Looking up a ConnectionFactory object

• Creating permanent destinations

• Creating connections

• Creating sessions

• Creating message producers

• Creating message consumers

• Implementing and installing message listeners

• Creating messages

• Sending messages

• Publishing messages

• Receiving messages

• Browsing messages

• Enabling JMS tracing

• Closing connections, sessions, consumers, and producers
