Starting and Stopping a Replication Server

Use a startup script to start the Replication developer edition server from command line. You create this file after Replication Server is installed. You can then use the Interactive SQL shutdown command to minimize the amount of work that automatic recovery needs to do when the servers are restarted.

Prerequisites

Only the System Administrator has permission to issue a shutdown command.

  1. To start the server: installation directory\REP-15_0\install\RUN_servername.bat
  2. To stop the server, open Interactive SQL (isql) with the correct administrator privileges, and enter the shutdown command.
