Creating a New Project From a Template

Use a project template to create a new project.

  1. Select File > New > Project.

    The New Project wizard opens.

  2. Select Sybase > New Project from Template and click Next.
  3. Select the template on which you want to base the new project and click Next.
    • The Default Workspace Project contains folders that help you organize resources when you build your project, such as Deployment, Packages, Schemas, and Services folders.
    • The WorkSpace Project with Schemas contains folders that help you organize resources and includes default schemas.
  4. Enter the name of your project in the Project Name field.
  5. Select the Use Default check box if you want to store your project in the default location, or click Browse to select a different directory.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Review the project template structure in the Project Preview page and click Finish.
Note: When you create a project from a template and rename from the default template name to the name you want to use, the Project Preview screen of the wizard displays the default name instead of the new name. However, the project is created using the correct name.
Sybase WorkSpace creates a project folder in the location you specified and its name appears in the WorkSpace Navigator.
