WorkSpace License Manager Error Messages

This topic provides descriptions for error messages you may encounter when managing license files in the WorkSpace License Manager.

Error message Description
Overdraft licensing warning message 131251:

The total number of available licenses for feature has been exceeded by overdraft_amount and license usage is now in overdraft.

Displays if you exceed the number of available licenses.
License awarded in grace warning message 131254:

Checked out grace license for quantity_feature (version_requested ) will expire license_expiry_date

Displays when a license cannot be obtained and is issued within a grace period.
Expiration consequences warning message 131274:

WARNING: product will shut down on expiry_date, unless a suitable feature license is obtained before that date.

Notifies you of the consequences of a grace period or license expiration when the license is for the product itself.
Expiration consequences warning message 131275:

WARNING: product functionality that requires the feature license will be disabled on expiry_date , unless a suitable feature license is obtained before that date.

Notifies you of the consequences of a grace period or license expiration when the license is for a product feature.
Periodic notification warning message 131275:

License for feature will expire license_expiry_date.

Indicates that you are functioning in a grace period and that your license will expire.
Grace expiration error message 131231:

License for feature could not be checked out within the grace period and has now expired.

Indicates that your product cannot obtain a license and the grace period has expired.
Cause of failure error message 131239:

Failed to obtain quantity license(s) for feature feature from License Server host.

If the license server is not known, a more general message is given:

Failed to obtain quantity license(s) for feature feature from license file(s) or server(s).

Indicates the cause of a failure, followed by additional details.

When you see any of the above failure notification messages, you also receive messages that indicate the cause of the failure. These messages all start with the specific error, for example, Cannot connect to license server system , then proceed with a possible cause, the name of the feature license, and finish with the name of the license server and the location of the license files. The FLEXnet licensing error number is reported. For example:

Cannot connect to license server system. The license server manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet, the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed. Feature: feature Server name: license_server License path: < License files that were used when trying to check-out the license or to locate the license server > FLEXnet Licensing error:-15,570 For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing End User Guide, available at http://www.sybase.com/support/manuals.
