Upgrading web applications from WorkSpace 1.7 to 2.0 requires specific post-installation steps.

Web applications developed with the Web Application Development (WAD) component are not automatically upgraded from WorkSpace 1.7 to 2.0, because WorkSpace 1.7 uses an older version of Eclipse Web Tools Project (WTP) to create Web applications.

Workaround: See the Sybase WorkSpace 2.0 Installation Guide for instructions on upgrading web applications.

A workspace created in Sybase WorkSpace 1.7 does not automatically upgrade to 2.0.

Workaround: To use a workspace created in Sybase WorkSpace 1.7 with Sybase WorkSpace 2.0, upgrade the workspace manually using the procedures in the Sybase WorkSpace 2.0 Installation Guide .

Existing Sybase servers are not registered in Sybase Central after installing the version of ASE provided with Sybase WorkSpace 2.0.

If the environment into which you are installing has existing Sybase server products, such as ASE, SQL Anywhere, or Sybase IQ, that use Sybase Central, you may find that these servers are no longer registered with Sybase Central after completing installation of the version of ASE provided with Sybase WorkSpace.

Workaround: Back-up the .scRepository file in Sybase Central using the procedures in Backup Sybase Central repository before installing ASE.
