Editing Server Properties

Modify existing server properties using the server editor.

  1. In the Servers view, double-click the server for which you want to edit properties.
  2. (Optional) Double-click the editor tab to maximize its display.
  3. Edit any of the following General properties:
    Field Action
    Server Name Enter the server name.
    Host Name Enter the name of the server host.
    Runtime Click Edit to modify the server runtime preferences.
    Open launch configuration Click this button to edit the server's launch configuration. From here select the corresponding tab to edit any of these properties:
    • Server – select the server from the drop-down list.
    • Arguments – enter program and VM arguments used to launch the server.
    • Classpath – modify the default Classpath used to launch the server by selecting the corresponding option.
    • Source – modify the default source location of the source files used to launch the server.
    • Environment – modify or add server specific environment variables.
    • JRE – modify the runtime JRE used to launch the server.
    • Common – modify other server aspects, including console encoding, standard input and output, whether to launch the server in the background.
  4. Edit any of the Server connetion details used to connect to the server by double-clicking the value and modifying as needed.
  5. Select File > Save from the main menu bar.

The server configuration is updated with your changes.
