Web XML Editor

Use the Web.xml editor to configure a Web application.

The Web.xml editor is form-based and displays a visual representation of the web.xml file. It also provides a source editor where you can edit and validate the source web.xml file.

Select the tabs of the Web.xml editor to access pages where you can add, delete, and update the components in the web.xml file.

Tab Use to
Overview View basic details, grouped in table views, of the components of the web.xml file.
Servlet Add, define, and remove a servlet.
Filter Add, define, and remove filters.
Resource Add, define, and remove resource references or resource environment references.
EJB Add, define, and remove EJB references
Security Add, define, and remove security roles and constraints.
Pages Add welcome files and error pages and define login configuration for the Web application.
Other Add, define, and remove context parameters, environment entries, listeners, MIME mapping, and tag libraries.
Source View and edit the source code of the web.xml file.
