Configuring a Managed Bean

Configure a Java, Service, DataWindow, or EJB managed bean by editing the faces-config.xml file.

  1. In the WorkSpace Navigator of the Web Application Development perspective, expand Webroot, then expand WEB-INF.
  2. Select faces-config.xml.
  3. Select the ManagedBean tab.
  4. Select the managed bean that you want to change.
  5. To change the managed bean class, click Browse adjacent to the Managed Bean class field and select a new class.
  6. To change the scope, click the arrow in Managed Bean scope field.
  7. To change the initialization, click Edit in the Initialization section and change the properties.
