Changing the Appearance of a Control

After you add a control to your Web page, you can change its size and background color and the color, size, style, and decoration of its text font. You can also change the box type, border, positioning, page breaks, and the visual effect of the cursor.

  1. Select the control in the Web Page editor.
    Note: To change only the color of the font or the background color of the control, follow step 3 and step 4. To change the text font color and the background color, plus other control properties, follow step 2.
  2. To change:
    • Text
    • Background
    • Block
    • Box
    • Border
    • List
    • Positioning
    • Extensions
    Do the following:
    1. Right-click and select Edit Style.
    2. Select the item you want to change in the left pane. The associated dialog box appears in the right pane.
    3. Change the properties.
    4. Repeat steps 2 b and c to edit as many items as you need to change the control's appearance.
    5. Click OK.
  3. To edit the font color, right-click, select Color > <color_name> from the context menu.
  4. To edit the background color, right-click, select Background > <color_name> from the context menu.
