Endpoint Types

Identifies the implementation types and interface options for each service type.

An endpoint represents an actual instance or implementation of a particular resource type.

Database A physical database (connection profile) Supports single interface and multiple database types
EJB EJB implementation Supports a single interface and implementation
Java Java code (.java or .class file) Supports a single interface
Messaging A transport (queue, file, FTP, SMS, email account) Supports a single interface and implementation
Monitor A business activity monitor server database connection Supports a single interface and multiple database types
SOAP A WSDL file (wrapped services) Supports a single interface
Business Process A business process (.bpmn file) Supports a single interface that may be bound to multiple endpoints of different types
Transformation A map (.map file) Supports a single map for each service
